Head of Charitable Services & HR
Elaine is responsible for the following departments and services within the Liverpool and Sefton area:
- Charitable Services
- Coordinator of Health and Safety
Elaine has been the HR Manager for Age Concern Liverpool and Sefton since May 2008. Prior to this she was the HR and Compliance Director for a local insurance broker. Elaine has worked in HR since 2002 and studied form 2003 and to pass her CIPD qualification in 2006.She is now is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
Her role is a varied one which includes management of all charitable services, HR, training and coordination for health and safety between the Organisation and our external consultants for all sites that we operate from. As the business is so diverse the challenges in terms of the services, HR, training and health & safety are also very varied and can be specialised.
Elaine’s role involves supporting the business objectives with effective service management, HR/training and health & safety policies, procedures and processes. Elaine makes sure that they are applied in a fair and equitable manner throughout the Organisation ensuring compliance with current legislation and best practice.
In her personal life Elaine lives with her husband, son and two mischievous cats. In her spare time she enjoys reading, especially true stories or chick flick novels and goes to the gym, not because she enjoys it but because she feels she should!
