There isn’t one way to be older. ❤️Behind every statistic is a person with a lifetime of experiences, achievements, interests, relationships and stories to tell.New research from the Centre for Ageing Better highlights the very different experiences of people in their 60s today. Around 1.8 million people aged 60–69 are living in financially precarious circumstances – but a statistic can never tell us everything about the person behind it.That’s why, this International Day of Older Persons, we’re choosing to celebrate the people behind the numbers.Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing stories from the older people, volunteers and staff who make our community what it is.
