Jacinta - CEO

Sad news

It is with the saddest heart that we want to let everyone know the sad news that Jacinta Ashdown died on Monday after her short battle with cancer.

Age Concern Liverpool and Sefton are so grateful that she has been a big part of the organisation for over 5 years as Director of Operations and then CEO, leading the organisation with passion and determination to give older people the services they deserved and delivering so many positive outcomes and initiatives.

Jacinta’s legacy will live on at Age Concern because she was such an amazing part.

We are putting together a memory book for the family with photographs and stories that we all remember so if anyone would like to call into the office to add something then please feel free to do so

We are all deeply saddened by the news.

A weekly walk might sound like a simple activity. But sometimes, it’s the conversation along the way. The familiar faces. The laughter. Having something in the diary to look forward to.For the people we support, staying connected can be just as important as staying active.Because sometimes, the best part of a walk is knowing you’re not walking alone. ❤️#OlderPeople #Community #Connection #WalkingTogether ... Sometimes, the most important part of an activity isn’t the activity itself. It’s the friendship that grows over a cup of tea. The confidence that comes from trying something new. The laughter after a difficult week. The reassurance of knowing there’s somewhere to go and people who are happy to see you.For the people we support, these moments can mean so much more than a day out.💜 Connection. Confidence. Belonging. And with the support of our volunteers, donors, local businesses and community, we can continue creating more moments that matter.#Community #OlderPeople #Connection #Volunteering #MakingADifference ...
